History was made in October! After months of waiting, the intersection of Clove Road & Castleton Avenue in Staten Island, New York (Location of the World Hombu Dojo from 1966 through 1998) is now & forever recognized as:
The dedication ceremony took place on Saturday, October 11th, 1997 at 11a.m. and was followed by the unveiling of two street signs bearing the name. Grand Master Siringano gave a moving and emotional speech, recalling the many memorable moments of his father's life.
In addition to Grand Master Siringano who was joined by wife, were several guest speakers. Staten Island Councilman Jerome X. O'Donovan (Prime sponsor of the bill to name the intersection), Staten Island & Brooklyn Assemblyman Eric Vitaliano, Dr. Guido DiBenedetto (Chairman: Doctors Hospital and Siringano family physician for over 30 years), all of whom provided moving remembrances of their dear departed friend.

Family; sisters Rose Barbato, Carmella Ferrara and brother Anthony Siringano were in
attendance accompanied by their respective families. Grand Master Wilfredo Roldan,
Master Don Vitale and over 75 Black Belts, students and friends of
the late Grandmaster were also in attendance. Special thanks to John Guzzo.
Staten Island Community Television producer Martin Manheimer was on hand to record the event for an upcoming documentary of the Siringano Martial Arts Dynasty, as was N.Y. Post photographer Jim Romano. An open house was also held immediately following at the Hombu Dojo.
